The Grammy's #45 opened with Simon & Garfunkel singing "Sounds of Silence." As a writer, I know how powerful words can be. But there's nothing like music to give even the simplest of phrases awesome power.

The outrage will be endless here if Springsteen isn't given his due tonight. And who out there thinks Dustin Hoffman flubbed Springsteen's name by accident or was he paying tribute to one of the great avenues of NYC - Spring Street? I prefer to think his flub was intentional.
